Burden Of War: Carrying youngsters nearly their own size, Laotian youths trudge barefooted down a dusty jungle road while fleeing the battle zone in the Plain of Jars. They were among refugees who arrived at the outpost of Borikhane in central Laos after walking more than 75 miles and evacuating their homes before the onslaught of invading Communist Pathet Lao troops, Laos.

The two, who figured prominantely in the recent Chicago street demonstrations, said that in spite of the burning of the summons they will appear as requested before the committee in Washington October 1. Hayden is founder of the Students for a Democratic Society; Rubin a self-styled Yippie revolutionist.
